Ping Xu is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Saw Lab. With an engineering background, she came to study at the School of Life Sciences after reading The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer. In Saw Lab, she focuses on bioelectrical measurements and how biophysical factors—such as electromechanics and electrohydraulics—influence tissue behavior, including morphological changes and cell extrusion. In the lab, you can find her in the patch clamp room, developing bioelectrical measurement systems. Outside the lab, she is nowhere to be found.
